Council of AuD Programs – Session at AudiologyNOW!® 2009
The Council of AuD Programs (CAUDP) was established in 1991 to represent the interests and serve the needs of institutions of higher learning seeking to establish Doctor of Audiology (AuD) programs and to participate in developing standards for the education and training of graduate students in audiology. With over 70 clinical doctoral programs in existence, the CAUDP now seeks to represent those programs, provide a forum for the exchange of information among the programs, and support their pursuit of excellence in clinical preparation of future professionals. Numerous AuD program representatives attended a meeting at AudiologyNOW!® 2009 to address the organization of the CAUDP, discuss issues brought up during the recent Gold Standards Summit 2009: Transforming Clinical Education in Audiology, and set the CAUDP's agenda for the future. All who are involved in the management of AuD programs are encouraged to actively participate in the CAUDP. For more information, contact Scott Griffiths, PhD, University of Florida.
